Who Qualifies for PPEC at Little Giants
Eligibility for Pediatric Prescribed Extended Care
Little Giants PPEC serves children from birth through age 21 who have medically complex conditions and require continuous medical care and supervision during the day.
Our program is designed for children who benefit from skilled nursing care, medical monitoring, and therapeutic support in a safe, structured environment.
If your child has a medical condition that requires skilled nursing care but does not appear on this list, we encourage you to contact us. Eligibility is based on medical need and physician orders.
How the Enrollment Process Works

Schedule an Initial Assessment
Contact Little Giants to schedule an initial assessment. Our team will review your child’s medical history to help determine eligibility for PPEC services.

Obtain a Physician’s Order
A physician’s referral or order is required to enroll your child in our PPEC program. We can guide you through this step if needed.

Plan of Care and Authorization
Our clinical team will create a personalized Plan of Care based on your child’s medical needs and submit the required documentation to request authorization for services.

Enrollment and Transportation Coordination
Once your child is enrolled, we work closely with families to coordinate care and transportation. Provider supervised transportation may be available to assist with safe travel to and from our center.
Insurance and Coverage
PPEC services at Little Giants are fully covered by Medicaid, Medicaid HMO plans, and CMS network programs for eligible children. Our staff assists families with verification, documentation, and ongoing support throughout the process.
